DA sets ‘TienDA’ booths for Metrowide Mango Festival

The Philippine mango industry has been experiencing an oversupply crisis to which the Department of Agriculture (DA), headed by Secretary Emmanuel Piñol, Ph.D., responded by launching ‘TienDA Plus Metrowide Mango Festival.’

TienDA launched on June 10 and will take place until June 11, 2019 from 8:00AM to 4:00PM.

Mangoes will be sold in these areas:

  • Department of Agriculture Central Office, Elliptical Road, Diliman Quezon City
  • Bureau of Plant and Industry, Malate, Manila
  • Waltermart North EDSA, Quezon City
  • Waltermart Makati
  • Waltermart Pasay

Aside from mangoes, other fresh highland and lowland vegetables, coconut, commercial rice, and other agri-based food products will be sold in Muntinlupa and Parañaque City Halls. Waltermart branches mentioned would be open from 9:00AM until 9:00PM.

Help in reducing the mango surplus by supporting our local markets. Go get your fresh mangoes in the areas mentioned above!
