Cactus, Succulent, and Bromeliad Festival held from June 20-23

A four-day festival focusing on cacti, succulents, and bromeliads is slated to take place this June to keep gardeners and plant enthusiasts on their feet.

“Cactus, Succulent, and Bromeliad Festival,” is presented by Manila Bulletin’s Agriculture Monthly together with SM Mall of Asia, will highlight the three species mentioned to give green thumbs and aspiring gardeners more choices on what they can grow in their own space. 

It will feature an exhibit where guests can view entries from participating groups and individuals, lectures on the three specific plant types, and a plant bazaar.

For four days, key speakers will discuss topics such as proper care for cacti during the rainy season, how to use bromeliads as home decor, indoor gardening and more!

The event opens at 10 am on June 20, and will run during mall hours. There will be free seminars:

June 20, Thursday

1pm Cactus Care During Rainy Season

4pm All About Caudiciform

June 21, Friday

1pm Tillandsias & Bromeliads as Home Decor

4pm Cactus and Succulents as Ornamentals

June 22, Saturday

1pm Growing Tillandsias Indoors and Artificial Lighting

4pm Compact Gardening for Small Spaces

June 23, Sunday

1pm Growing Bromeliads in the Metro

There will also be an auction at 4pm on June 23.

The Cactus, Succulent, and Bromeliad Festival will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium in Pasay City from June 20 to 23. Lectures will be held at 1:00PM to 4:00PM on the respective dates.

Registration is free so drop by the venue to learn more about the three plant varieties and how to properly care for them!
