Amy Haynes, a registered dietitian, prepared a list of fruits and vegetables with high antioxidant levels to help prevent and minimize sun damage to your skin.

Watermelon is first on the list because it has lycopene which prevents the development of sunburn. It will also keep your skin hydrated because it mostly contains water.

Carrot is also on the list because of its high Vitamin A and beta-carotene content, which absorbs UV light rays and protects the cells from damage.

Broccoli, meanwhile, has high-levels of Vitamin C, which shields healthy molecules from being harmed.

Berries, on the other hand, contain polyphenols, which are effective in slowing the aging effects from sun exposure, as well as in reducing cancer risk.

Kale, like those mentioned above, has high contents of Vitamin A and C. It also has lutein, which helps in decreasing sunburn formation.

Olive oil has its share of Vitamin E, which cancels the damage that come from long exposure to the sun.

Salmon is also included in the list since it is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids. It prevents inflammation of skin after long exposure to sun.

Avocados, on the other hand, have Omega-3s, Vitamin E, and phytochemicals which make it a super food when it comes to sun ray protection.

Tomatoes, lastly, like watermelons, contain lycopene, as well as Vitamins A and C.
