From February 12-14, 2020, this year’s International Farmer’s Summit is going to be the first Philippines’ ASF-Forum that will be held at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
As to officially open the summit, Department of Agriculture Secretary Honorable William Dar together with key industry leaders led the ribbon cutting today.
This year’s summit will focus on the challenges, solutions, and lessons that occur in today’s animal industry. Discussions on succeeding days will mainly look at the impact of animal diseases in the poultry and livestock industry while gearing towards ASF’s prevention to recovery and repopulation. The Philippine Veterinary Drug Foundation Inc. (PVDA) has gathered experts from different parts of the world who will be imparting their knowledge on this three-day event.

Alongside the seminars, the organization also launches its first International Pet Summit. There will be fun activities such as pet shows, competitions, live photo ops with the animals, parade, free dry grooming, and many more.
PVDA led in organizing this event with over 20 thousand expected guests to join. It aims to gather farmers, breeders, feed millers, meat processors, feed ingredient suppliers, animal health, and nutritional product suppliers, farm and slaughter equipment suppliers, packaging products suppliers, agribusiness book and magazine publishers, and other allied industry partners. There’s approximately two hundred booths featuring local and international products, technologies, equipment, and suppliers in the venue that event-goers could pay a visit into.
