Celebrities are people we often look up to. They face the camera with superb beauty, elegance, and glamour.
But celebrities are people too, and they have the same interests as we do. In Nerizza “Neri” Naig-Miranda’s case, it’s taking care of plants.
Actress Nerizza “Neri” Naig-Miranda is the wife of Alfonso “Chito” Miranda, the lead vocalist of the band Parokya ni Edgar. The actress’s personal Instagram account contains a lot of farm-related posts such as fruits and vegetables she planted and grew herself. Miranda also included in her biography that she is a farmer, among other things that spark her interest.
In one of her posts, a photo of a basket containing banana, eggplant, tomato, and other vegetables was shared with her followers.
“Mga ani para sa aming kapitbahay. Lahat ay galing sa aking munting hardin!” the actress stated in the caption. “Yung banana yan yung naani ni Chito dati! Sobrang tamis!” (Produce for our neighbor. Everything came from my mini-garden! The banana was harvested by Chito before. It’s very sweet!) she added referring to the banana which her husband harvested a couple of weeks before this post. “Excited na ako sa next batch ng ani!” (I’m excited for the next batch of harvest!)
The actress ended the caption with a hashtag #Day26 concerning the number of days spent under the enhanced community quarantine, and another hashtag, #NerisGarden #NerisKitchenGarden that she usually uses whenever she posts something related to her farming activities.
Other celebrities also showed support for Neri like Angel Locsin, who liked the post, and Yasmin Kurdi, who commented that she loved it and reminded the actress to keep safe. Peanuts, carrots, parsley, sweet corn, mulberry, cabbage, and others are also available in Neri’s kitchen garden.
