Community quarantine brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted people all over the world. In this country, various agencies, organizations, and even local government units have come up with their own community events that will help people cope with the boredom of staying at home.
One example is Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Mimaropa, where a video-making contest was launched with the theme “Tanim ko, Vlog ko.” To qualify, participants must be from Region 4B. They should also have their own backyard garden filled with vegetable plants.
In a five-minute video, participants’ should showcase their vegetable plants from their respective backyards together with an explanation of how these plants benefit them during the quarantine period. Their names and address should also be included in the video and entries must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Videos that are uploaded on ATI Mimaropa’s official Facebook page are automatically candidates for winning prizes. The entry with the most number of “Love” reactions will be considered the winner. For those who are interested to join the contest, just check the official website of ATI Mimaropa for more information.
Prizes that will be given away are vegetable garden kits, various vegetable seedlings, seedling trays, garden tools, a hundred peso worth of load, limited edition ATI-Mimaropa umbrellas, and an eco-bag filled with booklet guides to gardening.
