The COVID-19 crisis has put people in a difficult situation. The enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) had limited citizens’ capacity to go outside their homes. Although important agendas like buying food and medicines are an exemption to the rules, some people prefer door-to-door deliveries rather than risking their health going outside.
Fortunately, these kinds of services are available through e-commerce. One example is Fresh Finds Manila, an online business website that allows customers to order fresh fruits and vegetables online and have them delivered to your doorstep with just a click.
Fresh Finds Manila offers various products from fruits, vegetables, eggs, oils, rice, and others such as smoked fish, dried rabbitfish (danggit), and dried squid (pusit). These products came from the city of Baguio which is known for its high-quality production of various fruits and vegetables.
According to Fresh Finds Manila’s official page, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are some changes in how they handle transactions such as taking extra effort in cleaning vegetables and fruits before delivery. Moreover, their delivery schedule is from 9:00 A.M to 4:30 P.M from Monday to Saturday. Products are also at their premium price because it is inclusive of hazard pay to Fresh Finds Manila employees.Â
While the minimum order is at P1,200—with free delivery within Metro Manila—the management, however, is asking for additional tips for riders that will deliver around Antipolo, Marikina, and Cainta, which are significantly far from the metro; this will serve as a small compensation in line with the risk of going outside as frontliner delivery staff.
