Last November 7, 2022 marked the beginning of the weeklong celebration of the founding anniversary of the Municipality of Tanay. Spearheaded by the honorable Mayor Rafael A. Tanjuatco and the Municipal Agriculturist, Mr. Romeo B. Cruz, the celebration began with an Agri-Trade Fair and Exhibit.
The Rizal Agricultural Research and Experiment Station (RARES) joined the celebration of the
416th Tanay Hane Festival with the theme “Smile and Shine! Bangon! Sulong! Tanay Hane!” (RARES)
Different imunicipality nstitutions and organizations participated in the event, which showcased products from different barangays.
As one of the participating institutions, the Rizal Agricultural Research and Experiment Station (RARES) showcased a smart greenhouse technology for growing cherry tomatoes. The concept of the booth design was inspired by the original facility found in the station.
The display included harvested cherry tomatoes, seedlings, IEC materials, and other products being grown in the station.
The participation of the station in the said activity has been a tradition and is also a way of promoting its vision as a leading enabler and champion of agricultural research for development catering to the needs of farmers through science-based technologies and innovations for sustainable agricultural development in the Province of Rizal.
